The King of Kings is a visually stunning animated film that takes a uniquely literary approach to the story of Jesus Christ. Framed as a bedtime story told by the legendary author Charles Dickens (voiced by Kenneth Branagh) to his young son Walter, the film uses the power of a father's imagination to bring the four Gospels to life. As the story unfolds, young Walter is transported into the world of Jesus — witnessing His miracles, walking alongside His disciples, experiencing His trials, and ultimately understanding the profound meaning of His sacrifice. The film features an extraordinary voice cast including Uma Thurman as Catherine Dickens, Mark Hamill as the menacing King Herod, Pierce Brosnan as Pontius Pilate, and Oscar Isaac as Jesus. Directed by South Korean filmmaker Jang Seongho and produced by Mofac Studios, The King of Kings became one of the most commercially successful animated films of Easter 2025, earning $97% audience approval on Rotten Tomatoes. 2521 Entertainment provided P&A financing for this title.

I'm a huge fan of Angel Studios. When I first saw this movie preview I was skeptical. Well, the director knocked it out of the park. The storytelling using the Princess Bride-type narration was brilliant. It keeps the audience engaged and was very easy to understand for kids. It was all around great for family.
