Angel Studios has done an amazing job all the way through. I love that God is in the center of it and woven throughout. It shows how life can be messy, but in the midst of things, that we can make the right choice and that God works through people and is always working behind the scenes. Well done, Angel!

There's no weak link with the performances. McDonough is a reliable star actually playing against type here — he's not the scheming, calculating bad guy. Chase gives Jeff a rough edge while not making him a shoot first and ask questions later type.

Movies from Angel Studios are definitely improving when it comes to the acting, writing, and the overall quality of the films. Homestead takes a very scary topic and starts us off on the day of the incident, showing how quickly things would likely collapse.

A gripping and well-crafted thriller. For fans of post-apocalyptic dramas with ethical dilemmas at their core, Homestead provides enough intrigue to justify a watch — and perhaps a reason to tune in for what comes next.

Impressive performances and production value enable Ben Smallbone's indie thriller to generate a substantial amount of suspense.

The lead characters are well-cast across the board, with Chase and McDonough especially effective as complex, unpredictable characters whose sporadic conflicts go a long way toward developing a rooting interest in both men. Matthew Rivera's striking cinematography and the movie's special effects wizardry also are major selling points.

Neal McDonough's performance as Ian Ross stood out for me, as he had charisma while his character assesses the end of the world in a mostly realistic manner. The screenplay contains a message about how, in crisis, coming together is the best option, enhanced by Ben Smallbone's beautiful direction.

Bailey Chase and Neal McDonough deliver gripping performances, backed by stunning cinematography, haunting music, and a smart, tension-filled script. The film masterfully blends intense action with emotional depth, asking hard questions about morality and sacrifice. A must-watch, and easily a 10/10.
