THE LAST RODEO

Another Angel Studios excellent movie. As Guild Members we appreciate the input we have on such movies. Great movie and look forward to many more by Angel.

The Last Rodeo has a firm grasp on the sport and the culture at large. This isn't a slick Hollywood tale talking down at Red State USA. McDonough crafts a sincere story filled with flawed heroes and muddy shades of gray.

With a punchy Neal McDonough on the saddle, The Last Rodeo is a wholesome ride for the entire herd.

Few character actors deserve a close-up more than Neal McDonough. The scene-stealer from Justified, Tulsa King, and Band of Brothers gets the juicy lead he deserves in The Last Rodeo. The drama wouldn't be the same without his stoic presence.

This thoroughly predictable but undeniably engaging faith-based drama is an inoffensively old-fashioned entertainment that, with only minor tweaking, could pass for a Walt Disney Studios release of yore.

The Last Rodeo may not be bodacious, but it's a satisfying ride.

Hard to find good family-friendly movies and The Last Rodeo didn't disappoint. A great message and storyline. The acting was fabulous. This movie had us reaching out to someone we'd had a disagreement with — thanks to this movie!

I loved this movie!! I was expecting this movie to be pretty good, but it far exceeded my expectations. I really appreciated discovering the dynamics of each of the main characters' relationships. The main three characters in the movie were strong actors and I was impressed with the way they made me believe the story.

From the start of the film to the end, you were always rooting for Neal McDonough's character Joe Wainwright to succeed. His co-star Mykelti Williamson has not been in a better role since Forrest Gump. Their relationship really moves you. Take your family to The Last Rodeo. You will be glad you did.

The Last Rodeo is the kind of movie you've probably seen many times before, but it hits almost all the right notes and succeeds in providing a good story with emotion. Neal McDonough is immensely likable. The faith element is incorporated in an organic manner. The rodeo scenes are well done and actually build suspense. The Last Rodeo is a well-made movie with a positive message.
